Martial Arts School in Dayton, Ohio

The Asian Arts Center Taekwondo School in Dayton, Ohio, teaches character, practical self-defense, and fitness. We have been serving the Miami Valley for over 15 years with our life enhancing martial arts programs for children and adults.

Our 12,000 square foot martial arts school is located at 1630 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, Ohio 45429. We have four dedicated classrooms and offer traditional martial arts plus fitness boxing, and one on one personal coaching to meet any fitness, martial arts, or leadership goal. Students attend our classes from every community in the Dayton region, and we have a very large group of Air Force families from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Vandalia.

Our not for profit martial arts school started in Centerville and Washington Township at the Crosspoint shopping Center. A few years after opening, we outgrew that location and moved to Whipp Road across from the Dorothy Lane Market on Far Hills (State Route 48.) In 2005, we purchased our current building and quickly grew to capacity here. During the busiest times of the year we offer a waiting list as we reach capacity. We are now conveniently located close to Meijer at Wilmington and Stroop Roads, and are just a short drive from The Greene shopping center in Beavercreek.

Taekwondo Benefits

Many parents debate on the idea of whether they should send their children to a martial arts school. On one hand, they feel that their kids will learn a sense of discipline as well as learn to defend themselves. But many also worry that their kids might use the skill of Taekwondo to express violent behavior. We at the Asian arts center Taekwondo School have seen concerns from many parents throughout our working years. We are a non-profit organization whose primary aim is to help the families in the Miami Valley to raise their children as healthy and happy individuals.

Our instructors and staff understand how challenging it is to raise children in today’s fast world. We are also aware of the worries and concerns that a parent has for their children-no matter what age they are. Although it is nearly impossible to shield your kids from the dangers of the outside world but we can help you and your children deal with the many challenges that they might face. A martial arts training is the best way to teach your children self-control, respect, have fun and be happy at the same time. Training for taekwondo is also important to keep the kids in shape.

We help our students develop their inner character that will help them make better choices in their future. Our trainers teach the children the aspects of life for them to be champions at home, school and with friends. The children of today need to learn self-respect in order to develop a sense of self-worth as well as understand the importance of a healthy body and mind. With our training methods, the students will show visible improvement in their self-esteem and confidence.

Showing respect and grace for others is also an important lesson that we teach our classes. Our students learn to show respect for their peers inside our facility as well as those that they meet outside. The etiquette taught in the class teach the children to treat others as they wish to be treated themselves.

The children are also encouraged to set their own goals, learn their lessons as well as, not to be discouraged. Many children quit the classes when they feel that they are not acquiring the goals that they have set. But under our instructors training, the students are given the confidence that the discipline in their lives will help them reach their goals.

The most important benefit of Taekwondo is that the children will learn to defend themselves in case any crisis arises. They learn to protect themselves and learn to speak up if the find themselves in any vulnerable position. The classes that we offer push the children to combat any bullying behavior such as in the school playground or some unknown stranger who has the intention of hurting them.

Now that you know how martial arts will improve your child’s confidence, self-esteem and develop self-control, we would like to invite you to try our program. Visit our school or contact us to learn more about the classes that we offer.
